A friend sent me this picture the other day, and boy, does it ring true.
To test this for myself, I went to the market and bought just $20.00 worth of quality foods. I stopped at the $20 mark, and yep, I had less than 5 items in my cart.
Years ago, when I was the single mom of three hungry, teenage boys, I would budget $60.00 a week for the best food that I could afford that would, hopefully, last us 5 days. For $60, my shopping cart looked more like the buggy from 1998.
So, Head’s-up shoppers. You ARE paying more for less.
