Q:
How would you handle pollen allergy in a 14 year old girl?
A:
Pollen allergies are typically live proteins that are not being “digested” by the body. ( And, yes, digestion even takes place within your nasal cavities.) Hence, the proteins stay alive, they irritate the nasal passages, and eventually get sucked into the head and eyes.
I’d improve her digestion of proteins, and supplement with a digestive enzyme at least once a day. Wobenzyme-N is a wonder whole body enzyme used in many therapies in Germany. It should be available on the web, and in high-end health markets.
Then, have her take a dunk in the ocean, and if you are not by the seashore, have her do the Neti Pot or a saline nasal flush until the allergies are gone. She may fight you on this, but this is the best, natural way to rid the body of protein allergens in the sinuses, and to avoid OTC meds that are going to dry her out and create dependancies. She can snuff salt water as often as she needs to, daily.
I hope this helps.
