Here are some cool tips for adding some flavor to your water – ice cubes made from fresh limes, lemons, and even coffee.
Juice Your Cubes
Juice lemons or limes (add the rind and pulp, too), and pour into an ice tray. Freeze and add the cubes to a glass of water for an all-natural flavored water – calorie free, artificial sweetener free, and caffeine free.
Cube Your Coffee
I like a cup or two of organic coffee in the mornings, but I typically have some coffee left over in my French Press. I pour the leftover coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze it.
I drop a cube or two into my morning smoothie for a choco-mocha flavor. You can also put the coffee cubes into a glass of organic milk or in an afternoon cup of iced coffee.
There is no reason to spend your money on flavored waters with food additives and artificial sweeteners. Teach your kids to appreciate drinking pure water above all other drinks, and don’t let them complain that “water is just so plain and tasteless.”
Cube your water, and savor its healthy benefits. Have some fun with it.
You’ll save a bunch of money, too!
