You might be wondering what fracking has to do with my Healthy News. Well, today, more people are getting sick from oil and gas extraction called fracking.
It’s time to learn more about fracking, and how it can make you and your family very ill.
This video will explain what I am talking about: http://www.wakingtimes.com/2014/04/08/5-videos-showing-fracking-make-water-flammable/
Fracking
Hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking”, is the process of drilling and injecting fluid (typically wastewater i.e. toxic wastewater) into the ground at high pressure in order to fracture the shale rocks that release the natural gas trapped inside.
Each gas well requires enough water and supplies to equal 400 tanker trucks to carry the water to the drill site, using 1 to 8 million gallons of water to complete each fracturing job.
This makes you wonder about the states experiencing droughts, doesn’t it?
Up to 600 chemicals are used in fracking fluid, including known carcinogens and toxins such as:
- Lead
- Uranium
- Mercury
- Radium
- Methanol
- Hydrochloric acid
- Ethylene glycol
The fracking fluid is then pressure-injected into the ground through a drill pipe. The current, active drilling sites today in the USA use 72 trillion gallons of water and 360 billion gallons of chemicals to extract gas from the shale.
How many of these chemicals are seeping downstream and into our drinking water? THIS is the current debate today. And it is very political – VERY.
Your Drinking Water
The basic laws of physics confirm that methane gas and toxic chemicals leach out from this system and contaminate the groundwater. Indeed, methane concentrations are 17 x higher in the drinking-water wells near fracturing sites than in the past.
Watch the video.
There have been over 1,000 documented cases of water contamination next to fracking sites, as well as cases of sensory, respiratory, and neurological damage due to ingested contaminated water. Yet, fracking seems to have immunity in most cases. It is a fight for profit over health, and it has become a very nasty battle.
The Hair Analysis
I do hundreds of hair analyses every month; helping people determine the hidden causes of their health symptoms. I can tell you that the levels of lead, uranium, and mercury are on the rise in the hair reports, and when I connect where people live with certain high toxic levels – well, the cause and effects are undeniable when you connect the dots.
As an environmental engineer, I can clearly see the patterns.
If you live in an area where fracking is taking place, and you have been experiencing headaches, rashes, and stomach issues, consider researching your toxic levels for lead, uranium, and mercury found in fracking fluid.
These toxins will affect your animals, too, from horses and cattle to your house cat and Fido.
Suggestions
What can we do about the dangers of fracking? Well, we live in a world where the petro-dollar is king, so at this time, we can do very little. Never stop trying, though, and here are some things you can do:
- Map any fracking well locations within a 50-100 mile radius from your home, and definitely note any wells that are upstream;
- Have your tap water tested for lead, mercury, and radiation;
- Have a hair analysis done to see if these toxins are present within you;
- Get to know your neighbors, and if fracking is polluting your groundwater, join together and stay involved with your local and state governments to keep driving an immediate clean-up (they succeeded in doing this in Ohio, but my state of Texas is a harder nut to crack when it comes to winning against pro-oil and gas lobbyists);
- If fracking toxins are present in your town’s drinking water, make sure to take action with your local schools to protect your children from toxic exposure in their drinking water;
- And, detox, detox, detox.
An Old And Toxic Grid
Stay involved because there are many alternative energies that local towns and communities can implement.
Our petro-energy grid is old and antiquated, but it will remain a “dominant fossil fuel grid” until we, the people, make the needed changes that will benefit our health as opposed to building the growing bank accounts of the petro-investors and energy companies.
