If you have ever done my French Green Clay Detox, you know what milk water is. That said, many of you still ask what in the heck is milk water.
French Green Clay
Milk water is when you let your French Green Clay sit overnight to purify any sediments that might be in the natural clay. When the clay dissolves in the water, it gives it a milky look.
French Green Clay is edible clay found only in Southern France and in parts of India. French Green Clay has been widely used for centuries in Europe and Asia to remove toxins from the human body, and is certified as food grade in Europe. French Green Clay binds to toxins within the tissues and organs, and safely excretes them through the gastrointestinal tract.
French Green Clay is extracted from dried Mediterranean sea beds containing micro-algae, phytoplankton, and salt-water nutrients. French Green clay will neither harden nor clump (like a cast) as most common clays do, such as bentonite.
Back in the day when I was a field geologist with Sun Oil Company, we’d plug the holes in the drilling pipes with bentonite clay. Can you say constipation when detoxing??
So, French Green Clay neither impacts digestion, elimination, nor complicates diverticulitis.
As an added perk, French Green Clay helps balance your body’s pH levels. Clays are typically alkaline in nature, and when removing toxins, which increase the body’s acidic levels, French Green Clay helps maintain a healthy body pH.
Can I Just Drink It Down?
I mix and drink my clay right away and don’t let it set overnight, but I’m pretty hard core, and as a geologist, I have eaten lots of dirt!
It is recommended to let the sediments gravitate to the bottom of your detox glass to be on the safe-side, but food-grade illite clays, like the French Green Clay, will powder and ash as opposed to hardening and casting, so it is much more gentle on your lower GI when detoxing.
The milk water is better for children and your pets, too. (Albeit, your pets might eat lots of dirt.)
Why Clay When Detoxing?
I first learned about French Green Clay through my environmental work in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s. I discovered that the Soviet scientists added French Green Clay to chocolate bars and dispensed them to the masses after the meltdown at Chernobyl in 1986. The French Green Clay helped cleanse the toxic radiation from those exposed to fallout.
The French Green Clay I recommend from Walter Badet is straight from the best sources. Approved since 1996 for food use by the Conseil Superieur d’Hygiene de France, French Clay For All from Walter Badet is my choice for the best finely powdered French Green Clay.
The clay can be used both internally and externally for humans, animals, and plants. It is an integral part of my detoxification program and I highly recommend you try it to remove toxic chemicals from your body.

Bottom’s up and enjoy your milk water.
