I have been in the health and wellness business for decades. Actually, I’d say that I was born holistic.
As a young kid, I’d never let my mom know if I didn’t feel well; I’d just let my body deal with it on its own.
I still do.
I rarely get sick, though. My mom was a great cook, and I was raised on healthy meals everyday. And, she made me take my vitamins – every day.
I still do.
Take A Multi
When I reflect on my upbringing, and on my life now, I focus on the one common feature I have done all of my life – and that is that I take a multi-vitamin at least 5 times a week – every week.
Based on how well it has worked for me, I recommend everyone, at all ages, take a multi consistently for “consistent” health.
Multivitamins are dietary supplements that come in tablet, capsule, liquid, or pill form. A quality vitamin is – or should be if it’s good quality – compressed food from farm to capsule that provides the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs everyday for energy and immune support.
Give Your Body A Break
Many people ask why do I need a take a multi-vitamin if I eat quality foods and maintain a good diet?
Well, food today isn’t the quality it used to be 20 years ago.
Water quality today isn’t as pure as it used to be 20 years ago.
Medicines, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals aren’t the same as they were 20 years ago.
No doubt, our environment is polluted today, and there is a lack of nutrients in the soil, especially from corporate farm fields. For some unknown reason, we have been spraying toxic chemicals into our atmosphere, and oil spills continue to taint our soil and drinking water; military war games destroy the natural ecosystems, worldwide.
With all this control and manipulation, do your body a favor, and provide it with the essential elements and trace minerals that it used to receive from quality foods and fresh air – 20 years ago.
Give your body a break, and make it easier for it to maintain long-term health.
Other Things You Can Do
In today’s world, it is important to eat the highest quality foods that money can buy. But that said, money is a factor, and the purest, more natural foods can get expensive.
The highest quality vitamins can get expensive, too. But, you get what you pay for. Don’t buy cheap vitamins that you have to break apart with a hammer.
No doubt, cheap foods and sub-standard foods are less expensive, but they are devoid of healthy oils, hardy fibers, complex carbs, natural sugars, and natural nutrients. Have you ever wondered how the drive-through golden arches can offer a hamburger for 99 cents?
Ever wonder what’s in that burger? Or how old the oil crisping those fries might be?
Whether you are vegan, all organic, or just work hard to eat right every day, in today’s world, it doesn’t hurt to supplement your daily regimen with a quality multi-vitamin.
Note Your Improvement
If you take a multi-vitamin 4 to 5 times a week, notice how it makes you feel. You should
- have more energy
- feel less hungry
- recover more quickly when sick
- lose weight
- improve memory function
- have a healthy pregnancy
Dieting? Vegan?
If you are on a diet, consuming 1,600 calories a day or less, or if you are following a vegan or vegetarian diet, you may not be able to get all the minerals and vitamins you need through your food intake alone. A multivitamin can help ensure that you aren’t missing anything, and that you are getting the proper nutrition.
For example, some vegans have low levels of the B-vitamins that are found in animal products. Insure that you get all of these vitamins by supplementing with a daily multi-vitamin.
I, personally, use Juice Plus, but go here to read about the vitamins that I recommend as some of the best on the market today.
The #1 thing that I do to stay healthy is take a quality multi-vitamin 4 to 5 days a week. I hope this helps you as much as it has me.
