I bet that you have never heard not to eat yeast at night.
Actually, it’s best to not eat anything at night, and after 6:00 PM is ideal.
Why?
Well, when it starts getting dark at night, your body is signaled to shut down for repair and cleansing. This is why most all animals go to sleep when the sun goes down.
Your body produces serotonin during the day for activity, and when the lights go out, the serotonin stops and melatonin kicks in. Melatonin makes you sleepy, and this makes it possible for you to get out of the way so your body can repair and restore without you disrupting it.
Don’t eat something that your body has to digest when your body is ready for you to go to sleep – this makes it possible for it to start cleaning things up without you disturbing the process.
Everyone has cut their finger at one time or another, right? Have you ever noticed that once the bleeding stops and you have secured it with a bandage, your body doesn’t start healing the cut until nighttime?
When you are asleep during the night, your body:
- heals cuts and bruises;
- repairs bones;
- scavenges for toxins – collecting them and eliminating them as waste first thing in the morning when you wake up;
- slows down your heart rate to give it a rest;
- digests everything you ate during the day;
- adjusts your body pH.
How can it do this efficiently if it has to digest a bunch of yeast from eating too late and drinking alcohol?
Why No Yeast?
Yeast is an interesting thing.
There are many species of yeasts. The most common yeast is Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is used in the baking and brewing industry for your bread and beer.
Some people refer to this as brewer’s yeast and baker’s yeast.
Louis Pasteur discovered the fermentation process of yeast in the nineteenth century. Although fermentation is a good thing for many food products, the monkey wrench in this issue focuses on which type of yeast is being fermented.
Wild yeast fermented in nature is alive and active, and hence, found in natural food products like sourdough. It is healthier than fermented yeast found in manufactured and highly processed foods, like potato chips, sauces, salad dressings, and bouillon cubes, as examples.
And search for my archived articles on Candida. This is a huge problem concerning various forms of fermentation and yeast.
Your body has to work extra hard to assimilate and digest yeast because it takes a lot of energy and metabolism at the cellular level to transform its glucose into ethanol and carbon dioxide.
So if your body is ready to go to sleep and do its cleansing-thing but is trying to digest yeasty products, it can’t get on with its business.
It is having to digest as opposed to sweeping out the trash left over from your busy day.
My Nutritional Training
I’m taking a little side-step here to explain how I approach health issues, like yeast.
I got one of the best PhDs in holistic nutrition ever, and I was trained by some of the best old-school nutritionists in dietary history.
After I was diagnosed with incurable Grave’s disease, I serendipitously met my nutritional mentor. He knew Dr. John Richardson, Linus Puling, and Royal Rife – three of the greatest pioneering nutritionists ever known.
Four, if you count my mentor.
Before our modern food supply became polluted with glyphosate, genetic engineering and GMO technology, and pesticide/herbicides dousing our crops beyond logic, holistic nutrition was fairly basic.
This is the foundation of my nutritional knowledge, and created the basis of my nutritional counseling.
Blending their wisdom with my educational background in environmental toxicology, I became an expert in toxic sources underlying disease after I successfully cured myself from an incurable disease.
This is what I do, and why I am sharing this with you.
So, don’t eat yeast products after 6:00 PM. A message from my mentors.
They knew.
I’m passing it on to you.
So, when the sun goes down and your dogs snuggle onto their plush doggie pillows for the night, tuck yourself into bed, too.
