Hi Dr. Hull. My name is Hannah, and I am contacting you with an important question that my doctors can’t answer.
I am only 36 years old but I have tested positive for the Coronavirus. I’m not dying or anything like that, and I have been able to recover at home. Yet, I can’t seem to shake this virus.
It just won’t go away.
I am wondering, is it the virus or could it be the 6 or so diet colas I am drinking every day? Plus, I’m so bored stuck inside, I am chewing a lot of sugarless gum.
My diet isn’t the best, either, because I am not going to the store as much these days, so I’m eating more junky, unhealthy foods.
I have lingering, migraine headaches, vertigo, I can’t sleep well and I have nightmares and crazy dreams. I’m gaining weight (no surprise there), I’m depressed and lethargic, VERY moody, and it’s like I’m living in a brain fog.
I could keep going, but it’s making me more depressed.
Is this the Corona or does it have something to do with the diet colas I am drinking every day? If anyone would know the answer, it’s you.

Oh my. I can’t thank you enough for contacting me, Hannah.
I am not doubting you tested positive for COVID, but your health symptoms are classic aspartame reactions.
Anytime illness and health symptoms are occurring that won’t go away – and aspartame and the other diet chemicals are used – you MUST remove the diet chemicals to know if they are the cause or not.
You’ll know within a few days if the diet chemicals are keeping you sick because your health symptoms will diminish and eventually disappear if the diet sweeteners are, indeed, the cause.
Many MANY times, they ARE at the root of your chronic health symptoms.
Here’s another important point: if your immune system is working hard to recover from “the COVID virus”, when it is distracted, overloaded, and working hard to eliminate the toxic chemicals that you are eating and drinking daily, it isn’t going to have enough power to succeed at fighting off both.
Hence, you get stuck and chronic health symptoms linger on.
So, stop all diet chemicals, and read all food and medicine labels carefully because more and more products have hidden sweeteners in them that are not labeled as a sugar-free. Then you will know if you recover completely.
