Hi Dr. Hull,
I live in a house that floods during heavy rains. Hence, it has mold in spots.
With the “lock downs”, we’ve been spending most of our time inside the house. I have a strong feeling that mold and mold spores have played a major role in my poor physical condition over the past 2 years.
I don’t know how you feel about it, but having to wear a mask doesn’t help things get better, either.
Will a hair analysis show anything for this? Can you help?
Have a great day, and thank you for your time.
From Dr. Hull
Microbes do not produce an inorganic waste that excretes into the hair, which is one reason why they can be so toxic; Therefore, mold remains in the body and multiplies.
So, microbes do not show up in your hair follicle, and the hair analysis will not pick them up.
Their waste is organic – CO2, acids, etc, and this is why they are hard to identify. However, microbes will attach to heavy metals in the body, like barnacles attach to the bottom of a boat.
Microorganisms feed off a host, and they look for a nice vehicle in dark, wet, and warm places for housing and protection. If both microbes + metals are present, more than likely, they are interconnected, and the hair analysis will pick up the heavy metals.
When I do a hair analysis, I look at all toxic elements present in your hair. Then, I compare how they are effecting your nutrients. If mold or another microbe is a factor causing health symptoms, I can pick that up on your overall health profile.
Anyway you slice it, if you feel that exposure to microbes (mold) is a probability, I highly recommend detoxing for microbes. But, again, I will look at all toxins present, and then design a strategy and program recommendation for you.
Having the hair analysis done at any time is a wise health move in my book. It beats guessing!
PS: Masks only work when spittle and airborne particles larger than the pores in your mask are ambient. So, unless you are in a dirty environment, they don’t stop colds, the flu, or COVID. If anything, the masks are full of microbes and are actually a health hazard when worn too much.
Get outside!!! Get vitamin D from the sun, take deep breaths and fill your lungs with fresh air, get some exercise, and make sure to do this everyday.
