It’s the holidays. They are special times to get together with friends and family. And, they are times when you break your normal eating habits to enjoy sweets and all kinds of fun toddies and fizzy drinks.
If you are going to break your rules during a holiday get together, enjoy the real thing and avoid sweets and desserts with artificial sweeteners.
It’s time to admit that there is no exception when you “cheat” without paying the price of harming your body in the long run. Refined sugars are no solution to a holiday party, but they are a better choice if you simply eat less of them.
Enjoy but modify your portions.
Laboratory chemicals are not the answer to avoiding sugary sweets and drinks at a good party. Most people don’t want to ask the host if diet sweeteners are in the desserts or in the punch bowl, but you can usually tell after the first bite or sip. If you discover that a diet sweetener has been used, simply find a way to drop it in the trash without being noticed. Maybe scoot into the bathroom and flush your toddy down the toilet.
Thanks But No Thanks
Artificial sweeteners are a mix of chemical compounds created in a laboratory that are unnatural to eat, and they were never meant to enter your body. Basically, these chemical compounds either accumulate in your vital organs, which can cause serious health damage, pollute your bloodstream, which can cause serious health damage, or result in eventual mutations of your cells, which can cause serious health damage.
Anytime you put toxic chemicals into your body this unnatural, your body’s immune system will attack them, and harmful reactions occur. Actually, this is what your body’s immune system was created to do – attack foreign bodies. The solution to long-term health is to say no thanks to party drinks and sweets with diet sweeteners.
Here’s a tip: select desserts and toddies with “real” sweeteners, eat less of the sweet treats, and simply say no thanks to the chemical sweeteners in the goodies.
It’s that simple. Say no to using any artificial sweeteners. You’ll have a better time at your holiday get-togethers!
