What do I mean by “let your body be the processing plant?” Well, this has everything to do with eating pre-prepared and manufactured foods. You don’t want to eat foods that have already been processed in a lab or in a processing plant – you want YOUR body to be the processor to maintain good health.
Your body operates today just like humans operated 10,000 years ago – we haven’t physically changed. But our foods and what we eat have changed tremendously.
Your body was created to break down what you eat into the vitamins that make up what you eat because every different body organ and body system uses different nutrients to keep it alive and healthy. If you eat food that has already been broken down during manufacturing, your body is trying to feed off a food source that has no nutrient value.
Your Body Eats Like It’s At A Cafeteria
If you’ve ever eaten at a cafeteria, you slide your tray down the food line and select the various dishes that you want to eat – you choose a little of this and a little of that. When you eat, your body does the same thing – your heart and blood choose different nutrients from what your bones and nerves use to stay healthy, and they don’t compete with each other.
They’re NOT supposed to anyway, and if they do, we call that an auto-immune disorder.
As the food nutrients break down in your stomach, they circulate within your bloodstream, and your body picks and chooses them based on what it needs.
Chromium, vanadium, and zinc feed your pancreas for insulin production, but your bones and nerves select calcium, magnesium, boron, strontium, and phosphorus from your blood to stay healthy.
Your bones do not compete with your pancreas.
I was very fortunate to have been taught by old-school nutritionists who practiced the basics of nutrition and wellness – decades before Big Pharma and Big Corporations took over our nutritional health.
Your body knows which essential nutrients the different body systems need as your blood carries nutrients all throughout your body.
Let’s Look At Some Nutrients
As nutrients are broken down inside of your stomach from the foods you eat, the nutrients pass into your liver to be sent throughout your body within your bloodstream. What’s really cool is your body knows exactly what it needs to stay healthy.
Your Bones, Nerves, and Muscles
Your endoskeletal system selects:
- calcium and magnesium in a 1:1 ratio
- copper
- boron
- phosphorus
- strontium
Your Heart, Blood, and Vessels
Your cardiovascular system selects:
- copper (for heartbeats)
- sodium
- potassium
- phosphorus
- iron
Your Hormones and Mood
Your hormonal system (also supporting your emotions and moods) selects:
- iodine
- lithium
- cobalt
Your Blood Sugar
Your pancreas and insulin system selects:
- zinc
- manganese
- chromium
- vanadium
- molybdenum
- boron
Your Brain
Your brain selects:
- sodium
- copper
- sulfur
- germanium
- rubidium
- zirconium
So remember that as you eat or take your supplements, your body sends these nutrients throughout your body for your organs, tissues, and cells to select what they need to stay healthy just like you choose the healthiest foods on the cafeteria line.
Select well. Eat well. Provide your body what it needs to stay well.
Avoid prepackaged and manufactured foods – they offer NO nutritional value.
