When the temperatures drop below freezing, it’s a blessing to have access to a warm fire. I enjoy my antique stove when South Texas gets cold (which isn’t very often.)
Not everyone has a fireplace in their home, but if you can have one built inside or outside, it is a good idea to prepare for more cold weather in the future. We are entering a global cooling cycle, and as the wind currents change and the Jet Stream swings further south into the Gulf, a warm fire is a great way to save energy, relax, and stay warm!
You can even cook on an open fire if you lose power, and if you have access to a wooded area or forest, collecting firewood is a good way to help clear the forests to help prevent wildfires.
During harsh winter weather, stay warm and stay healthy, and find ways to relax and enjoy the cold winter weather. Keeping healthy during cold weather has everything to do with preparation, and when the cold weather pushes your limits, sit in front of a warm fire.
Ahhh. Warm feet and toes ….
