I have been drinking diet coke for years and been very ill with depression, anxiety, and thin, poor hair.
I have now stopped this for three days, and I am drinking plain sparkling water. Is sparkling water OK, and is soda water OK to drink for your health because both of these drinks have no chemicals at all? Right?
How long will it take to get my hair thicker and stronger, and to feel a lot better? Also, is acesulfame K safe?
Can you please email me back and let me know these things, please?
Thanks.

Congrats on ditching the diet fizz. Try a cola called La Croix – this is a better replacement while you are breaking the diet cola habit.
I am a realist, and if you have been drinking diet colas as your mainstay, drinking only water is going to burn you out quickly. Backing out of your addiction slowly will squash your soda fix, so replace the diet fizz with sparkling water fizz.
The ingredients on La Croix say “sparkling water and natural flavor“, and nothing more. I am a little skeptical whenever I read “natural flavor” as an ingredient on anybody’s list, but let’s be realistic, again. It’s better to have this “chemical” (if it is indeed a chemical flavoring enhancer, but I do not know for sure) than HFCS or toxic diet chemicals.
I have La Croix in my drink fridge, and it tastes good and it does satisfy the “I want a cola craving.”
Corruption And Deceit
You have entered into a world with lots of information that you should learn about. This is an education in corruption and deceit, which is hard to believe at first – well, it’s sad to admit, period.
Once you realize that all of the documentation and research proving that the diet sweeteners are one of the many corporate cash-cows they will defend at all cost, you will understand why the information proving aspartame’s health dangers are suppressed, controlled, and steered away from public view.
Go to my Facebook page where you can join in on the latest information and posts, and check out the article that I recently posted on Ace-K.
You will also enjoy reading my book, Sweet Poison, because you’ll feel like you are reading about yourself, and you will understand the politics behind aspartame. The docs make you feel like a hypochondriac – you will learn that this is NOT YOUR fault!
You can restore your health, as thousands of people have, but remember that this is also an education. I suggest starting with avoiding all diet products, then get a hair analysis to see what nutrients the diet chemicals have robbed from your body, and then get on a good whole foods diet and vitamin program, based on your hair analysis results.
Then, BELIEVE that you can recover your health! This is an important part of the aspartame debacle – believing that this is a real issue.
A very real issue.
The best in health,
Janet Hull
