Do you consider yourself an open-minded person? Are you willing to open your mind to new ideas, or to opinions that you don’t agree with? How do you handle others who are different from you?
I’ve observed that most people in the natural/alternative health arena are fairly open-minded, and most are willing to work alongside those whom they disagree with.
Open-minded people DO speak their minds, but they generally don’t try to ramrod others to agree with their way of doing things.
Today, I see the trend changing, though; our society is morphing. Things are different in medicine, politics, and in the economy, and I hope things slow down a bit. I hope that we don’t forget the way things used to be in decades past, and my wish is that everyone keep an open mind.
In my line of work, I am witnessing a dangerous polarization between traditional medicine and alternative philosophies, and this tug-of-war seems to be getting worse.
Think about the truth behind the artificial sweeteners; vaccine safety and the battle to mandate vaccines; the unknown long-term effects of GMOs; deteriorating water quality, and the effects of man-made toxins in our food supply; these are just some of the issues facing all of us today.
The current level of human pollution, high-tech medicine, and man-made food technology is altering our species and affecting the next generation.
Keep an open mind, and learn all that you can about the things you know little about.
And remember not to shoot the messengers … they are just trying to educate you.
The Internet has made it possible to learn about issues of public concern. Greed and corruption aren’t new; we just didn’t have the ability to expose wrong-doings as easily as we can today with social media.
There is more to every story than simply capturing a 30 second news clip on the nightly mainstream television channels. And to be open-minded, I’ll admit that not all social media posts are accurate, either.
That said, there are many research scientists and journalists who are exposing hidden facts about the harmful health effects of new chemicals on the market today. It seems that they are met with strong resistance.
Keep an open mind and do your homework. Investigate both sides of every issue impacting health and wellness. Most importantly, if you disagree with your neighbor, don’t impose YOUR beliefs on them. Learn to accept your differences, and don’t fall into the judgement trap.
This is how a healthy society remains healthy – physically, emotionally, socially, politically, and economically.
When you open your mind to new ideas, and to some old ones, it will penetrate into your daily life. You will know better how to guide the children, too – at home and in the schools.
THIS is what I define as having an open mind.
In the 1970s, I majored in International Studies as an undergrad at UT Austin. Even as a kid, I knew that there was a big world out there; I knew that there is always a bigger picture behind every issue.
Globally, we have so many differences on this planet that it is impossible to interpret anything in a narrow light.
Life is NOT black and white.
We all must open our minds to learn about the different plants, animals, insects, trees, cultures and religions, political systems, medical traditions, and on and on.
Your personal life may be what’s right in front of you, but there is much more to know. The biggest point modern humans are forgetting is the reality that we are merely a part of Nature, and the dynamics of Nature rules, and always wins.
No vaccine nor chemical sugar will over-ride the powerful principles of Mother Nature. We must stop pushing against the complexity of life, especially when it comes to health and wellness, which at the of the day is merely our personal understanding of life and death on this planet.
Here are a few of my favorite links to information from some of the most courageous people in modern times. They provide information you won’t learn in mainstream media channels.
Do your homework, and learn about the other side of the issues we all face today. It will enhance your life if you keep an open mind.
If you choose to vaccinate your newborn, fine; but don’t disrespect those who choose not to vaccinate.
If you decide to use the diet sweeteners, fine; but don’t ignore the research proving a link to diabetes, obesity, brain tumors, and fetal deformities.
Go to the library and study world religions or the history of the Middle East to understand the complexity – and diversity – behind the forces that mold global cultures.
Research Chemtrails, Agent Orange, the history of Monsanto, Fukushima, the history of money, and the botany of cannibus.
Learn. Grow. Open your mind.
