Here are two morning recipes that might solve your time crunch.
Breakfast Smoothie
1 cup (8 oz) fresh fruit and veggie juice of choice
1 banana
12 almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, or 2 oz sunflower seeds
1 scoop protein powder
DIRECTIONS
- Make juice first, preferably in a juicer.
- Then blend nuts dry in blender.
- Add juice and banana and blend again (this time in the blender) for one or two minutes until smooth.
- Add protein powder and blend.
- Drink slowly.
GREAT for the kids.
- 1 serving
Creamy Cinnamon Banana Oatmeal
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 banana
1 tbsp raisins, optional
DIRECTIONS
- Bring water to boil.
- Add all ingredients.
- Cover and simmer for five minutes.
- Let sit covered for two minutes.
- Serves 1 to 2.
