It’s always best to make your own salad dressings. And you can use this one for so many things.
Juice of:
1 large pink grapefruit
1 lime
1 lemon
1 tsp. Chicory root powder to sweeten or sweetener of choice
1 tsp. hot mustard powder
4 TBS. dried onion
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. dried basil
º tsp. dried rosemary
1 tsp. real salt
Directions:
Makes about 1 quart.
1. Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend well.
2. With the machine still running, add 1 – 2 cups of cold pressed oil of choice.
3. To thicken dressing, add 1 heaping TB. of flaxseeds and let machine run until all ingredients are well emulsified.
This is a nice thick dressing with a sweet & sour taste – very zingy, and has been compared to Thousand Island and other sweet dressings.
