Ole – here’s one of our fav salsas from Texas:
Ingredients
2 fresh jalapeno peppers – seeded, deveined, and minced
1 large tomato, diced
1 large handful cilantro, chopped
1/2 to 1 medium onion, diced
1-2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 yellow pepper, diced
1 orange pepper, diced
Juice from one lime
Dash of real salt – optional
Instructions
Combine all vegetables in a non-reactive (glass) bowl.
Season to taste with salt and lime juice. Allow to sit, chilling for about an hour before serving.
Serve with veggies, yeast-free chips, or on your favorite Mexican foods.
This salsa is not only delicious, but a key is the traditional combination of cilantro and peppers and tomato.
It’s an attractive dish, with the combination of yellow, green, red, and orange.
Serves: 4-6
