Thanks to one of my long-time followers in France for sharing what they are doing to avoid the Coronavirus.
We avoid the passage of the Coronavirus through the nose to other respiratory tracts by pouring into each nostril (before leaving the house) a few drops of olive oil or sesame oil, which is an organic oil with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Then put on a mask.
The oil acts both as a barrier protecting the nose by preserving the humidity of the nasal mucosa and by acting as a softener that allows any crusty mucous to come off.
We do the same thing for mouth protection, from drinking the oil to using the oil in mouthwashes.
This is a very old Ayurvedic practice that is based on the fact that table oils are healthy, and thanks to the lipids, they trap germs and other bacteria. They are then evacuated when you spit out (without swallowing).
Use an organic, cold pressed oil.
You can use olive oil or sesame oil as I mentioned above, but this practice can also be done with coconut oil because of its good taste, its antioxidants, and the vitamin E that it contains.
The fatty acids in coconut oil puncture the membrane of viruses and other bacteria, resulting in the death of the pathogen.
Streptococcus mutans is a bacteria that is common in the mouth, and this turns sugar into lactic acid.
Merci beaucoup.

For those of you who speak French, here’s the original post:
