The National Institutes of Health (NIH) agrees that seaweed, kelp, is one of the best natural food sources of iodine. Low iodine levels can lead to metabolism disruption and the enlargement of your thyroid gland, called a goiter.
Iodine found in natural sea kelp can help shrink cysts and tumors.

Many people take iodine to support blood health and healthy hormones. But iodine can cause constipation because many iodine supplements are manufactured in a lab, so your body has a hard time up-taking it efficiently, if at all.
Natural sea kelp is a type of seaweed that grows only in saltwater that is loaded in iodine, and it is very healthy for your thyroid gland, your hormones, and helping your body resist clumping into cysts and tumors, whether benign or malignant.
So, if low iodine can swell your thyroid gland, then it makes sense that cysts and tumors can enlarge throughout other parts of your body.
Kelp is high in antioxidants, including carotenoids and flavonoids, which help fight against disease-causing free radicals. Seaweed is very rich in iodine.
If you don’t have dried kelp, you can just boil anchovies to make a broth. I, personally, use liquid kelp from World Organics.
As with anything, be conservative when taking strong and affective supplements, so use as needed and I recommend typically taking your supplements 5 days a week, or every other day.
