Lithium has always gotten a bad rap for only being used if you are depressed or insane. But, if you ARE depressed or insane, you DO need to have your lithium checked. Lithium IS the essential nutrient driving your emotions.
Lithium is an essential element needed for healthy cognitive hormones that regulate emotions. When you are depleted in this critical element, you don’t have the proper “fuel” for your emotional centers in the brain, and depression, anxiety, and malaise result.
If your lithium levels are too high, you might feel overly aggressive, depressed, or emotionally unstable.
If your hormones are out of balance due to multiple causes (but that’s an article for another time), depleted lithium levels will exacerbate this problem, and “hormone headaches” will result.
Do you know what your lithium levels are? Are you experiencing headaches, anxiety or depression? Well, your headaches and malaise may be from depleted lithium levels, and this can be a trickle-down-effect from a hormone imbalance, which can be caused by toxins in your body.
Know Your Lithium Levels
I have been doing the hair analysis testing for over 30 years, and 93% of the analysis results – man, woman or child – show low to depleted lithium levels. In each of these cases, depression, anxiety, nightmares, and chronic headaches are present.
Within 72 hours, these health symptoms disappear in 99% of the cases who supplement with organic and all-natural forms of lithium.
Health Reactions
Lithium (Li) is a natural, essential element for body function, and is an important nutrient for brain and hormone development. Natural lithium is very different from Li carbonate forms used in pharmaceuticals.
When Li levels are low, organic supplementation can have very beneficial effects in people with behavioral/emotional disorders, severe depression and mood swings, chronic headaches, PMS and ED.
Li is found naturally in:
- deep rooted greens
- seafood and sea vegetables
- kelp
- natural mineral water
- organic, grass-fed meats
Test Before You Take
I never recommend using any form of a lithium supplement until you have tested your lithium levels using a hair analysis. If your levels are low or depleted, then I suggest supplementing with a low dose of natural lithium orotate and eating lithium-rich foods.
After 8 to 10 months, you can retest your hair again to see if your levels are balanced, but you will also have a good idea by the way you feel.
You can maintain a balanced lithium level through eating a wholesome diet, but if your levels remain low or depleted, then you are burning lithium as a brain and hormone fuel, and you’ll need to dig deeper into why this is occurring.
Today, things seem more stressful than normal for many people, but if you are having more headaches than normal, if you are depressed, experiencing anxiety or aggression, your lithium levels may be out of balance. Consider getting a hair analysis to check your levels.
Enjoy your future days ahead, and you can be happy about it!
