Q: I get so overwhelmed when I walk into a health food store to get just a few healthy vitamins. Which vitamins do I really need out of the thousands on the shelf?
I’m sure that they are all good for me, but how do you reign in the number of healthy vitamins out there?
Dr. Hull, what are the three most important vitamins for YOU?
My 3 Favorites
From Dr. Hull:
Choosing from the many healthy supplements that are out there, I feel that these are the 3 most important to choose if you had to limit what vitamins you could take:
- a quality multi-vitamin
- B3 niacin
- Vitamin C from fruit sources (do not use vitamin C from corn)
If you only take these three vitamins, you’ll have the primary nutrients that your body needs to keep your immune system strong, to cleanse your blood, and to provide every body organ with the essential nutrients they need.
The Best Brands
I don’t sell any supplements. but I do recommend my favorite brands and the supplements that are the top product brands on the market for the money.
Healthy product brands come and go, so it’s hard to keep my recommendations up to date, but at least you’ll know the best companies when you buy online or walk into a health food store searching for the best vitamins on the market.
I have always used the NOW products, FutureBiotics (but they are making some changes these days and eliminating some of my favorite supplements), I use Juice Plus, and I love the Carlson Company Labs vitamin line, and this is the company I recommend for buying the best B3 50 mg.
Pure Bulk is a new company that sells a quality line of supplements, and I buy my vitamin C and Chaga tea from them.
Hair Analysis
I agree that when you go to the health store to buy vitamins, it’s important to know exactly what supplements you need. Otherwise, you are guessing what to buy, and you typically buy more than you need, you buy supplements you may not need, and you’ll spend more money than you should.
So first, have a hair analysis done to learn exactly what supplements you need.
The hair analysis shows 32 of the most common, and critical, essential nutrient levels inside of you. Learn what your vitamin levels are, and then you’ll know what supplements you need to buy.
You can avoid being overwhelmed when you go to buy vitamin supplements when you have the right information. Keep it simple. Keep it real.
Start a new vitamin routine slowly; do your homework, and learn all that you can.
Enjoy a new, healthy lifestyle. Start with a good multivitamin, a quality vitamin C, and B3 niacin to cleanse your blood.
