I can’t brag enough about B3 niacin. This hot little vitamin keeps your blood clean of toxins, fats, and cholesterol, but you have to be careful how much you take; if you take too much at one time, you’ll get a hot flash and turn red.
How To Take Niacin
B3 niacin is one of the important supplements I recommend in my 10-Steps To Detoxification Program because it can keep your blood clean, and when your blood is clean, you have more oxygen in your bloodstream.
Who wouldn’t want that?
High blood pressure is in my family history, so for the past 30 years, I have taken 100 mgs of Carlson’s pure niacin 7 days a week.
The dose will vary for each individual depending on what your toxic level looks like and what your cholesterol levels are, but it’s a healthy average to supplement five (5) to seven (7) times a week with an extra B3 (niacin) until you flush shortly after taking.
The hot little flush is how to tell how much YOU need to take daily.
Begin taking 50-100 mg. of niacin on a slightly full stomach (with a banana, smoothie or a light snack). Increase by 50-100 mg. every 2 to 3 days until a flush occurs within 15 to 20 minutes.
Do not panic if you turn red and your heart beats rapidly. This is a sign that your blood is cleansing, and toxins are being removed.
It is recommended to take niacin before working out, when taking a hot bath or a shower, during a sauna or steam bath, or any time when your pores are open and your heart rate is elevated.
Children can take low doses of niacin (50 mg maximum) before a warm bath, before playtime, or before bed.
Here’s The Key
If you have more toxins than niacin, you may not feel a flush, but if you have more niacin in your blood as opposed to toxins, you will feel a flush.
Here is an important key:
Do NOT use time released, buffered or flush free niacin. This is an altered form of niacin and can stress your liver.
Use pure niacin that will activate immediately. This is healthier for your liver and a way that you will know your degree of toxicity.
NOTE: Be cautious when taking more than 50 mg. of niacin if you are taking blood thinners or any blood pressure or cholesterol medications.
If on medications, you should inform your allopathic doctor that you are taking a niacin supplement. Don’t be surprised if your medical advisor is not familiar with niacin or the detoxification process, as most AMA medical schools do not recognize the importance of nutrition.
The Best Niacin Supplement
This is my #1 recommended brand: Carlson® pure B3.
Again, NEVER use flush-free forms of niacin, which are toxic to your liver. You can’t tell how many mgs your body may require if you don’t flush.
This is one of the best supplements you can take to help with high blood pressure, to prevent high cholesterol, and to cleanse toxins from your bloodstream.
What a hot little vitamin!
