American waistlines are growing. As we eat more chemically adulterated foods, we are getting fatter; our kids are overweight at very young ages, and it’s hard to lose weight.
I don’t recommend dieting as a solution – I recommend detoxing as a solution.
Fake Versus Natural
First, the artificial sweeteners and processed foods stimulate your taste receptors and keep you hungrier. You may feel full after packing in too much at one sitting, but because fake foods don’t have the same taste, texture, or nutrient content as natural foods, they don’t satisfy your body’s need for “fuel.”
So you reach for more food.
Second, the brain thinks there’s food coming in, but when it is delivered with no nutrients, your body looks for more nourishment, and it stays hungry.
Third, artificial sweeteners and food chemicals throw off your internal ability to judge how much you eat. Growing childhood obesity rates are proof that our children do not know when to stop eating.
As America continues to struggle with obesity, there’s a big need to know what foods help or hurt us.
Detox Your Weight Away
What happens when you don’t dust your house or get all of the grease out of your kitchen pans? Layers of dirt and fat begin to pile up and “thicken.” As time goes on, it becomes harder and harder to get your house and pans really clean, and bugs and microbes begin to move in with you.
Now, you are impacting the problem.
Your body works in the same fashion, and as toxins add layers inside of your body, weight gain results, especially around the stomach, hips, and thighs. If you do not regularly clean toxins out of your bloodstream, the intestines, liver, gall bladder, your organs, your skin, and brain tissues, these toxins build up over time.
Weight gain appears, health symptoms arise, and disease builds up.
So detox your body like you clean your house and kitchen.
Choose a detox program that works best for your lifestyle, but if you are trying to lose weight but find that the pounds just aren’t coming off, this is a very good time to clear the decks of past and present toxins that may be impacting your failed attempts to shed a few pounds.
I highly recommend having a hair analysis done at this time, too, to discover just what toxins you have been exposed to, and to check your nutrient levels. Determining what toxins have accumulated inside of your body serves two purposes:
- You will discover what may be causing mysterious health symptoms and what toxins might be making it difficult to lose weight;
- You can search for the source, or sources, of these toxins and remove your exposure to them, opening the doorway to weight loss, once and for all.
Hey, Spring is just around the corner – time to Spring-clean your body!
