If you have been following my work on the diet chemical sugars over the years, you know that there is plenty of respectable evidence proving that chemical sweeteners can be harmful to your health.
I reveal the government documents in my books confirming saccharin (the pink packet) has always been safe, and I illustrate how research on the other chemical sweeteners, aspartame and sucralose, has been selectively presented to you to reflect positive health findings.
The corporations have been tricking consumers for decades.
NEVER forget that as an educated consumer, you have a choice.
You can protect yourself from avoidable illnesses by simply being aware of the sweet deception polluting your food and drinks.
Don’t despair – there are plenty of safe alternatives to keep your life “sweet.”
The Sweetener Wars
Over the past 30 years, a war has been going on in your own kitchen. It’s an escalating sweetener war.
It’s a battle for your dollar to satisfy an ever demanding “sweet tooth.” It started in the United States, but has spread worldwide.
Hundreds of thousands of people’s health has been injured, and thousands have probably lost their lives.
What these diet sweeteners do to children really irks me.
It’s a battle of health versus business profits, and I have uncovered the documents to show it.
Over the years, many doctors, both medical and holistic doctors, nutritionists, journalists, researchers, and professors have fought for the truth about the dangers of artificial sweeteners to publicly come out.
In this stealth battle, men and women that you do not know have been fighting to protect you and your children from injury and possible death. With more new chemical sweeteners coming on the market today, the battle is far from being over.
Aspartame
After decades of NutraSweet/Equal® (aspartame) dominating the sweetener market, people finally began realizing that aspartame is a nasty food chemical, and harmful to their health.
Feel sure that the corporations will continue to deny a connection between diet sugars and epidemic obesity, mental disturbances, addictions, and disease.
It seems all too typical to leave the proof to YOU – the consumer. But you are now getting the picture, yet for some, at great personal cost.
The sweetener and pharmaceutical corporations will forever work against the thousands of claims of bodily harm, and death, connected to artificial sweeteners.
Splenda®
When Splenda came on the American market in the year 2000, people thought that Johnson & Johnson’s chemical sugar, made from sucralose, had “come to the rescue” as the newest chemical sugar replacement “made from real sugar.”
That’s how it was marketed to you.
People didn’t want to hear that it was unhealthy for them, and that this “white knight” of sweeteners was no solution to eating and drinking all you wanted without ANY penalty.
I have included the documents in my book, Splenda®: Is It Safe Or Not?, that show the safety of this sweetener is in serious question.
New chemical sweeteners (like Splenda) and the sweetener blends (aspartame, sucralose, saccharin, and acesulfame K blended together in one product) may be causing you to show signs of weight gain, disruption of sleep patterns, sexual dysfunction, increases in cancer, MS, Lupus, diabetes, and an on-going list of epidemic degenerative diseases.
The corporations continue to stand tough in their denial of any connection between chemical sweetener additives and disease symptoms.
It’s Never Enough: Artificial Sweeteners Create An Artificial Need
We forget that sweetness is actually a by-product of food – real food, that is.
Nature has a way to encourage living creatures to consume nutritious foods.
Funny how that works. Go figure.
Forced sweetness, revved-up sweetness, and artificial sweetness – all altered foods – are a trap that addict you to sweeter tastes.
Artificial sweeteners are marketed as having “more sweetness with no penalty of weight gain.” People with eating disorders, children who are first learning about healthy food habits, diabetics and those with degenerative illnesses are being selected by advertising campaigns to sell you on the fact that these chemicals are not only safe, but beneficial to human health.
The added plethora of laboratory chemicals are entirely unnecessary to put in the public food supply.
The big corporations disagree, though, because they make more money when they add chemicals to your food.
We’ve done a great job of redefining sweetness, and it’s great to see it pay off,” says Anne Rewey, Splenda marketing director for Ft. Washington, Pennsylvania-based McNeil. “We’re committed to the leadership position in this market.”
According to the Conference of the American College of Physicians “we are talking about a plague of neurological diseases caused by these deadly poisons.” (aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame- K)
Who do you side with in this Sweetener War?
