I start my day off right with a fruit and protein smoothie. Smoothies and meal replacements do work for lots of reasons.
Try a smoothie and meal replacement program for 2 weeks, and see if you feel energized and maybe lose a pound or two. This can help get rid of belly fat by removing the layer of fat lining your pancreas and your liver.
Sooooo, your cholesterol can go down, and your blood sugar, too.
A friend of mine recently started a smoothie program because of climbing blood sugar levels, and after 10 days, he lost over 8 pounds and his blood sugar dropped over 100 points.
Sounds healthy to me.
On The Go
Smoothies can be a fun addition to a meal, and meal replacements work really really well as a true meal replacement, especially when you are on the go with little time to cook a healthy meal.
Smoothies are great when scurrying off to work or taking the kids to school in the morning. They are great for a snack when you’re hungry and maybe trying to resist a mid-meal snack out of the vending machine.
You can grind your vitamin supplements in a smoothie, too, and this works great for stubborn kids who don’t want to swallow a vitamin.
Meal Replacement
Protein is very important to your health. If you are a vegetarian, if you are diabetic, or if you want to drop some pounds, protein is important. But, in most cases, none of the above really gets enough protein.
You can add a protein powder to your smoothie, and boom – you’re good. I recommend Garden of Life protein powders and meal replacements.
What I Do
In the mornings on an empty stomach upon waking, I either drink a glass of my French Green Clay, or I take my probiotics while I wait for a kettle of water to boil for my French Press coffee.
After I feed my pets, check emails, and do the morning chores, I fire up the NutraBullet to spin my morning smoothie breakfast meal. Around 2:00 to 3:00 PM, I make a regular lunch, and around 7:00 PM, I fire up the Bullet again for my dinner smoothie.
